Innovation in the Market Assurance of New Programmes

In 2010/11 the i-MAP Project investigated whether UK Higher Education Institutions could become more effective when launching new programmes by adopting a more market-led approach to development. The Project’s key recommendation was that the likely viability of new programmes should be evaluated in the early stages of development, using financial and market data, and that proposals which are not supported by the data should be prevented from progress to full development and launch. A Project Report was first published in 2012.

The i-MAP Project was covered in The Times Higher in December 2011.
